Icacos Island — What to Expect
Icacos (officially Cayo Icacos) is a tiny uninhabited cay about 30 minutes by boat from Fajardo. It's the most popular day trip from our marina — and for good reason.
The water around Icacos is shallow, calm and an electric turquoise color. The white sandbar extends far from shore, making it safe and fun for swimmers of all ages. Sea turtles are extremely common — most trips to Icacos result in multiple turtle sightings.
The experience is more about the water than the beach itself. You anchor, swim, snorkel, float on the mat and drift in paradise. There's nothing to do on land (the island is privately owned), which is actually part of the charm — your entire experience is on and around the boat.

Culebra — What to Expect
Culebra is a full municipality of Puerto Rico about 17 miles east of the mainland — it's a real island with a town, restaurants, and a community. Flamenco Beach, on the north side of the island, is consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world.
The sand at Flamenco is powdery white, the water is a gradient of aqua to deep blue, and the horseshoe bay shape keeps the waves calm. Unlike Icacos, you can walk onto the beach, explore tide pools, hike to higher ground for views, and grab food in town.
The trip is more of an adventure. Culebra requires a longer boat ride (1.5–2 hours each way), so you'll want at least 8 hours to make it worthwhile. Additional fuel costs apply.
