FAQ

Where do we depart from?
San Juan, Puerto Rico. We'll send you the exact marina and slip number once your charter is confirmed. We can also arrange transportation from your hotel in San Juan.
Do I need a fishing license?
No fishing license is required for guests fishing on a licensed charter boat in Puerto Rico waters. Your captain's license covers the entire group.
Can we keep the fish?
Absolutely. Mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna, and other table fish are yours to take home — cleaned and bagged at the dock. Marlin and sailfish are tag-and-release per conservation standards.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, light long-sleeve shirt for sun protection, and soft-soled shoes (no black soles on the deck). Everything else — rods, bait, ice, water, drinks — is on the boat. You may bring your own food and alcohol.
Will I get seasick?
The Bertram 31 is a stable, proven offshore hull. If you're prone to motion sickness, take Bonine or Dramamine the evening before and morning of your charter. Avoid alcohol the night before.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we'll reschedule to a date that works for you. We monitor forecasts closely and will always communicate early.
Is there a bathroom on board?
Yes — the Bertram 31 has a private head (bathroom) and a comfortable cabin with shade and seating.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and alcoholic beverages. Ice and cooler space is available on board.
